I'm working in a direct Client site of my Employer and i work on H1B.
Won't i be allowed to enter this office from OCT1st 07 or that's OCT 2008 ??
First of all even if CIR is passed someone need to interpret the section. What kind of Ban for H1b in consulting? Is it blanket ban? It is going to be very tough in reality to Ban H1b for consulting completely. There might be some options in the law.

My case was also transferred to CSC. The transfer notice has a different receipt date than the receipt notice. MY case is now transferred back to NSC.
I would like to know if anybody of you have received finger print notice. I have not received it yet.
No FP, or any other communication whatsoever. Just the transfer notice.

Group insurance through an employer will not treat pregnancy as pre-existing. If group insurance is not available for this person, lookout for discount plans. Try in other states as well not just Oregon.

I came to Montreal to have my H1 stamping done and am stuck here since 3/18. They told me they want to search the company and will call me back with in 10 days but no response yet.
Pls. ensure you have all valid documents before you get here but you can not go back with expired visa.
Do you have AP? If yes bring with you. I did't have mine so I am stuck.
I had got my H1 in Toronto also in 2005 without any problem this time I am stuck.
Are you a landed immigrant of Canada? I am but till having this problem.
Can I come back to US without H1 being stamped on my passport? What other options do I have.

Your I-94 SHOULD have the same number as the old one!
Whether they give you a new white and stamped or the printed I-797 I-94 is a moot point. The validity date and the number is what matters.
I was once given a new I-94 after visa stamping in Canada at the Derby Line border post in VT with the same I-94 # as the old (and printed I-797 I-94) for a $6 charge.
You saved $6. Go buy nice milkshakes for the family and be cool.
It is a non-issue.

The printed I-797 bottom left is for employee's records and the right part is the equivalent of the I-94. The officer did not put a seal with the expiry date (normally they put a seal on I-94 mentioning the visa type and expiry date) on the right part. If I am surrendering this part while leaving the country,how can they determine if I overstayed my I-94 date or not since there is no expiry date on the bottom right part.

I have written on this topic many times before. Employer is required, by law, to inform USCIS about termination of employment (whether voluntary or not) and any changes in employment eligibility.

But in case of switching from H1b to EAD (while working for H1b/GC sponsoring employer), there is no termination, changes in the employee’s eligibility or change in job duties. So no requirement to cancel H1b.

I am not sure why you all are all so worried about finger printing. No one is getting their GC anytime soon. PD for both EB2 and EB3 is either unavailable or in 2001. Even if FP takes a little while, don't worry.
I have a friend who never got finger printed till he got his GC. So relax.

What I heard of is, OSC (office of the special counsel), Dept of justice will help in this kind of issues related to hiring or wrongful firing. Google for such dept and get help at free of cost.

Thanks for this Jason. I've often wondered why Olympus and Pentax haven't stepped up and gotten in the dslr market with the other big boys. My first camera was a Pentax K1000 (which I still have) and it was great. When I first decided to get into the dslr game myself I was disappointed to find so few choices of manufacturers.
It's good to see Olympus getting in the game. They've always had a solid product and I'm sure they will work out their design flaws.
