i agree with the above poster. It really should be done in WPF. There are ways to make your own window, but it is hell, and i mean lots of hell. You would have to create a base object that is fully transparent that is where your window is located, then draw on the different areas, but then you need to keep track of those areas for mouse events, and bind the right clicks to the events.
In short, WPF is what you want. The win32 gui is a thing of the past. Some places might still use it, that is only because they dont know wpf yet.

Gurus,
I will be travelling to India and the airlines is AirIndia via Frankfurt. FYI, my US visa expired in 2007 have valid I797 (until Oct 1st, 2010). Do i need to obtain a visa to travel via franfurt. AirIndia flight stops for couple of hours in Frankfurt to re-fuel.
Also as you can see my I797 is valid for six more months (company will apply for renewal) but will it be safe to visit India and get stamped for Six months valid document (I797).
My wife is on H4, is only she travels will it be ok from visa stamping standpoint. If there is risk, i will not travel but she has to due to family emergency.
Any input/advise is appreciated.

In fall semester I applied for all online courses and when it was the time of exam I had to leave to India as my Grandfather was very sick.
I was in lot of pressure as I was very close to them so I left. Before leaving I did asked the admission officer in university and she told that I will get all F grades and I can take same courses again in Next semester.
I was ready to do that. So I left USA and came back in January. 2 days before I received a letter from university that I have been dropped off. I was shocked and tried contacting the admission officer. She told me that they can reinstate now for my F1 visa and thats the only way.
I want to know if these is the only way or if there is some other way to get back in status. I dont want to leave country and come back to get reinstatated as I think its too risky.
What are the chances of reinstatement if I have clean history as well as no work records from the time I entered in USA. I have been student from last 4 years from the time I entered USA.
I do want to apply for visitor visa in future. HOw will these situation affect that

some of my friends are saying...as you are born in 1974 and as your
birth certificate was taken in yr 2005, it might cause problems (ins poseses query)

They are saying me to get Affidivits + non availability certificate now.
will it be a problem if I put my birth certificate....while applying for 485

My advise is to get a Non-availability of birth certificate because an RFE is the last thing you wanna see. My wife tried Allied Legal, India to get Non-availability of birth certificate for her parents. you can try them. They are the immigration attorneys in USA. I got a letter from Zoe Lofgren's office, who is a Member of Congress representing California 16th District, in response to one of our web faxes on H-1B cap and GC backlogs. Below is the complete text from the letter -- it's heartening to know we are on their radar at least!

It's hard to answer your question without more details, such as your current status. Company B can definitely file a new H-1B for you. Your current status will dictate whether you "need" to tell them about the earlier filing. However, having a prior petition filed might not have any negative impact, so you probably don't need to be nervous about telling Co. B.

There is a business visa (B1) he can apply. If he applies for the B2 (tourism visa) and tries to work, it will be illegal. He beeds to say "business" in the purpose of the visit column.

Hello,
I'm outside US with AP (expiring in about a month). My GC has been approved this June.
My GC employer has run out of work. He is likely to get work later.
My options are:
a) Stay outside US and look for project. On getting confirmed work, enter US to join employer.
b) Enter US, look for project. On getting confirmed work, join employer.
Getting employed by GC sponsor employer with, either option could take few months.
While entering US, I will NOT have EVL(employment letter), only AP & I485 Approval Notice.
Which is safer option (a or b) for US entry ?
What questions can be asked at POE ? What should I say if asked about employer ?
Can GC be revoked at POE?

seems like my prev attorney made a mistake and answered yes to "Have you ever before applied for permanent resident status in the U.S"
- well this is going to cost me
My question(s)
i changed job(and company) do i need to send AC21 along with RFE response.
and also can i send my medical records along with RFE (medical records i submitted are incomplete and says chickenpox vaccination needed now i am vaccinated and got the records of it).
if yes do i still need USCIS doctor to submit these medical records.

If you knew that your prev attorney made a mistake, you could have send a note to USCIS about this error at that time itself. Since you kept this quite, now you have to pay principal + interest.
